I, as cheerfully as I can, readily acknowledge that I cannot root for teams. Indeed, having me as your fan, even if only for a day or so, is Not A Good Thing. To whit (or perhaps To Twit), I bring you:
The Big Fat Nothing
Yesterday, Monday 2 April 2007 brought a number of Opening Day Baseball games and the Men's NCAA Division I national championship. Oh, you can see this coming, can't you?
Cubs lost to Cincinnati.
White Sox got pummeled.
The Detroit Tigers went into the 10th inning in their home opener... then continued their game streak from the end of last season.
The last Big 10 conference representative, The Ohio State University, politely allowed Florida to capture TWO National Championships on the backs of the Buckeyes since New Year's Day.
Sigh.
Do I dare even to turn on the Women's Division I game tonight?
