Something To Think About

There are a number of websites and blogs that I flit to on the odd occasion simply because they are on someone else's list of websites. 2004 Clarion classmate webpetals has bunches of cool ducks to look at. One is the Smart Bitches Who Love Trashy Books. Today they were discussing a rumor that Harlequin is paying authors only a 6% royalty on e-books, while the "usual" e-book royalties run 30-50% because the overhead costs are so low. Whether it is true or not, the discussion under Comments which followed is a good one about implications of contracts between authors and publishers.
