The Green Tunnel

It's cool outside today, but the sun is bright and the sky is blue. Over the weekend it had gotten up to 86°F and looking down from Butterworth 4 West, the trees by the Children's Hospital were dancing is the stiff hot breezes.

Yesterday, when I headed out for oxygen (grin), it was cold, grey and raining. Had the heat turned on, though of course I was wearing shorts. But I noticed that the driveway had become a real tunnel with lush green leaves from the non-pines that have made their way into the gaps, bushes and tall weeds.

After a long delayed spring, it is very green outside.

When I got him yesterday, I lay down on the bed, read a few pages, then napped. When I got up at 7:15pm, it was low sun and blue skies. Funny how quickly things can change.

The talks pines are currently playing still life -- the only motion I saw out the back window was some piece of white fluff drifting by. Cottonwood or other seed? Don't know.

Very happy to be home, an hour into my morning IV and listening to the bugs outside.
